Industrial park vision

An economy around the anchor projects

Building an industrial community—not three isolated facilities.

Gas Group’s wider plan is to develop an industrial park around the refinery, power-generation and data-centre project area. These anchor assets are intended to create the infrastructure, energy demand and commercial activity required to attract manufacturers, logistics operators, technology companies, fabricators, service providers and other productive enterprises.

By bringing dependable power, processing, digital capacity, shared utilities and coordinated logistics into one development environment, the park can help participating businesses operate more efficiently while creating a stronger local supply chain around the project.

Conceptual development vision

A connected district planned around anchor infrastructure, productive enterprise and shared services.

Employment potential

Thousands of direct and indirect opportunities across development, operations and the surrounding economy.

Employment is expected to extend beyond the anchor facilities. Construction trades, engineering, plant operations, maintenance, transport, security, technology, hospitality, food supply, professional services and local commerce can all participate as the ecosystem develops. Actual employment will depend on final project scope, phasing, approvals and investment decisions.

01

Jobs & livelihoods

Direct project roles and indirect opportunities throughout contractor, supplier and community value chains.

02

Skills transfer

Technical training, apprenticeships and exposure to modern energy, engineering and digital operations.

03

Local enterprise

New demand for Nigerian suppliers, fabricators, logistics providers and professional service businesses.

04

Shared infrastructure

Coordinated power, utilities, access, security and digital systems that can serve multiple users.

05

Investment attraction

A more investable environment for industries seeking reliable infrastructure and access to connected services.

06

Regional development

Stronger commercial activity, improved productive capacity and longer-term economic opportunity around the project area.

How the park develops

Anchor. Connect. Attract. Grow.

The park is envisioned as a phased platform. The three anchor projects establish demand and core infrastructure. Shared systems connect each zone. Complementary businesses can then establish operations around this base, expanding both the commercial ecosystem and employment market over time.

  1. 01

    Anchor projects

Refining, power generation and digital infrastructure establish the park’s productive centre.

  2. 02

    Common systems

Roads, utilities, water, security, communications, logistics and environmental services support multiple users.

  3. 03

    Enterprise zones

Dedicated areas can accommodate fabrication, warehousing, processing, technology and service businesses.

  4. 04

    Expansion

Additional tenants, supply chains and community enterprises grow as demand, infrastructure and investment mature.

People and capability

Employment should build careers—not only fill vacancies.

The development vision includes a workforce pipeline that can connect local people with construction trades, technical operations, maintenance, engineering, safety, logistics and digital roles.

Training, apprenticeships, contractor development and partnerships with technical institutions can help translate project activity into lasting capability. Opportunities are expected to evolve across construction, commissioning and long-term operations.

Enterprise and supply chains

A market for businesses surrounding every major asset.

Industrial projects depend on far more than plant operators. Transport, equipment maintenance, fabrication, warehousing, catering, accommodation, security, professional services, waste management and technology support all form part of the wider economic network.

Creating space for these businesses near the anchor assets can shorten supply chains, improve response times and help more value remain within the surrounding economy.
